Ordeal of bus commuters travelling from Mysuru-Whitefield

Sir,

Apropos Dr. Shyam Prasad’s letter titled “Introduce direct buses from Mysuru to Electronic City and Whitefield” highlighting the miserable and pathetic situations faced every week by us and our aged parents (Star of Mysore  dated May 9). We the commuters travelling to and from Whitefield are also undergoing the same ordeal, if not even more (difficulties faced are neither repeated nor elaborated).

I request the authorities concerned to either introduce direct buses from Swami Vivekananda Circle, Mysuru to Whitefield over KR Market flyover via Byappanahalli, Swami Vivekananda Road, Pai Layout, Krisharajapuram, Hoody, Whitefield Main Road, Prestige Shantiniketan (Big Bazaar stop), Kadugodi/Vaidehi hospital etc. at Bengaluru regularly with frequency or at least to extend the already existing few via Kempegowda bus terminal; Bengaluru-Mysuru bound bus services of Kuvempunagar bus depot (if it is not feasible economically each and every day) during Friday evenings and also on Monday mornings with a gap of half an hour each.

Such buses will always be full and will be of great help to many commuters who work to the tune of thousands in different companies in particular and regular passengers enroute in general to a great extent.
