Mysore/Mysuru: Narayana Health Mysore (formerly known as Narayana Multispeciality Hospital) had recently organised a walkathon called Orthobiothlon on the occasion of World Arthritis Day.
Dr. M.N. Ravi, Clinical Director, Narayana Health Mysore, flagged off the event to create awareness about arthritis and the treatment available for it.
People who have successfully recovered from arthritis walked for 500 metres in the event. Dr. V. Keshavmurthy, Senior Cardiologist, Narayana Health Mysore, also participated in the walkathon.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Umesha Chowdaiah, Consultant Orthopaedics, Narayana Health Mysore, said, “Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for managing arthritis. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of arthritis, consult a doctor immediately.”
The walkathon provided an opportunity for people who have recovered from arthritis to come together and celebrate their success.
