Over 10,000 candidates appear for PU lecturers Recruitment Exam

Mysuru: The Exam for Recruitment of PU (Pre-University) Lecturers which began yesterday, will go on at 22 centres across the city till Dec.8.

The recruitment exam is conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) across the State. A total of 10,498 candidates have opted for Mysuru where the exam is being held at 22 centres spread over the city including Government PU College, Kuvempunagar, SBRR Mahajana PU College, Jayalakhsmipuram, Maharani PU College, N.S. Road, Marimallappa PU College, Seetha Vilas Road, Vidyavardhaka PU College, Seshadri Iyer Road, D. Banumaiah PU College, Sayyaji Rao Road, Sarada Vilas PU College, Krishnamurthypuram, JSS PU College, Ooty Road and Sadvidya PU College, N.S. Road.

On the first day yesterday, the exam was held for Education and Logic subjects and today the exam was held for Marathi and Sociology subjects, at the allotted centres.

Dec.1: History and Telugu

Dec.3: English and Physics

Dec.4: Business Studies, Chemistry, Geography and Hindi

Dec.5: Kannada and Statistics

Dec.6: Mathematics and Political Science

Dec.7: Economics, Psychology, Sanskrit and Urdu

Dec.8: Kannada Language paper.

The exam will be held in 2 sessions everyday (9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm) and all the candidates, apart from their respective subjects, are compulsorily required to write Kannada Language paper on Dec.8 that will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

Prohibitory Orders around all Exam Centres: The city Police have issued prohibitory orders around 200 metres of exam centres,  from 6 am to 6 pm on exam dates, in order to avoid any malpractices and maintain transparency and discipline. Accordingly, all photocopy shops in the vicinity of exam centres have been ordered to shut down and no unauthorised persons will be allowed entry to the centres during the exam time.
