Over 70 industrial workers undergo training in first-aid

Mysore/Mysuru: Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA)  along with the Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru Division, had organised the 79th one-day training programme on first-aid for industrial skilled workers and Supervisors at a private hotel in city on  Nov. 22.

Mysuru City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh was the chief guest. In his address, the Police Commissioner said that as he was working in an industry before joining the Police Department, he knows the importance of the first-aid and appreciated the efforts of Nanjangud Industries Association in conducting 78 training programmes.  He called upon all industrial workers to learn the importance of first-aid and follow the instructions given by the trainer diligently.

Secretary of St. John’s Ambulance Association Dr. Prakash was the faculty for this programme. Deputy Director of Factories M.S. Mahadev presided.

Earlier, NIA Secretary B.S. Chandrashekar welcomed and introduced the chief guest to the gathering. NIA Manager Ravindran proposed a vote of thanks. About 70 participants from various industries took part in the training programme.
