Overflowing dustbins on Mahadevapura-Rammanahalli Main Road

For representation only

Sir,

Overflowing garbage bins have become a common sight on Mahadevapura-Rammanahalli Main Road. The foul smell spreads due to the accumulated waste in the grip of poor sanitation. A large amount of garbage spilling onto this Road poses serious health hazards, but the civic authorities have turned a blind eye to the problem.

What is more appalling is that the garbage dumped in the bin beside St. Arnold Central School on the main road is also overflowing. Lack of sanitation can put school children’s health at risk. The foul smell emanating from these bins often makes it difficult for people to pass through such spots.

As a result, overflowing garbage bins along the roads have become an order of the day, with the garbage clearance mechanism losing its efficacy. The area around such bins is filled with foul smell, making it unbearable to even pass by.

I request the authorities concerned to look into the matter at the earliest.
