Overseas employment: City Police Commissioner issues instructions to public

Mysuru:  With complaints pertaining to public being cheated by illegal overseas employment agencies and agents on the rise, City Police Commissioner has issued instructions to the public who are seeking employment abroad.

In a press release, City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subramanyeswara Rao has stated that those seeking overseas employment must go through the legal migration process and should go through employment agencies and agencies registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He has further stated that, at the time of going abroad, the person should not carry packets or parcels given by anyone and added that if the packet or parcel contain illegal materials, the person carrying it would be caught and added that it would be easy to work if the person going abroad has taken training for the job he or she has applied for and one should immediately contact the Indian Embassy once they reach the desired foreign country and provide relevant information.
