Own buildings for Kannada Sahitya Parishat in all 11 Assembly segments

Mysore/Mysuru: Reiterating his Government’s commitment for the growth of Kannada, District-In-Charge Minister S.T.Somashekar said he will strive to provide own buildings for Kannada Sahitya Parishat in all 11 Assembly Constituencies of Mysuru district.

Speaking after inaugurating District Kannada Sahitya Sammelana in H.D.Kote town this morning, he said a demand has been put forth to provide own buildings for Sahitya Parishat in all 11 Assembly segments and a site for H.D.Kote Taluk Parishat. “I will try my level best to get the Government Order passed in this regard”, he added.

Sammelana President Prof. N.S. Taranath has been a well-known litterateur who had voiced for the Classical language status to Kannada. He was also in the committee constituted by the State Government

to submit a report to the Union Government that why Kannada language should get the classical language status. Thanks to efforts of one and all, Kannada language got its due recognition, he added.

District Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) President Dr. Y.D. Rajanna, H.D.Kote Taluk KSP President Kannada Pramod, H.D. Kote MLA Anil Chikkamadu, MP V. Sreenivasa Prasad and others were present.
