Padayatra for Yoga and Nature conservation from Oct. 16

Mysore/Mysuru: In a bid to educate the public on the importance of Yoga and creating environmental awareness, Krishna Nayaka, a professional Yoga educator of Udbur in the taluk will take out a solo padayatra across the country from Oct.16.

Addressing a press meet here yesterday, he said that he will commence the padayatra from Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at 10 am on Oct.16.

Stating that he alone would take out the padayatra, Krishna Nayaka said that the padayatra will go on for two years travelling across the country, covering a distance of 15,000 kms. Pointing out that he will pass through Hunsur, Kushalnagar and Madikeri to enter Kerala via Kasaragod, he said that a seed-ball campaign will also be part of his Yatra, during which he will  sow seeds and plant saplings along the roads. Padayatra will cover the Capitals of 28 States, he added.

Udbur Gram Panchayat President Krishna, member Rangaswamy, Dayakar and  Dr. Prashanth were present.
