Paduvarahalli Jodi Maramma Jathra from today

Mysore/Mysuru: The annual Paduvarahalli Jodi Maramma Jathra will be celebrated in a grand manner from today.

At 2 am today, Vaddabai and other rituals were held and today at 2 pm, Nada Kushti was held in which 25 wrestlers participated. Sugama Sangeeta has been organised at Bayalu Rangamandira behind the temple today evening followed by Tambittu Meravanige, which will be held at 2 am tomorrow. Tomorrow at 3 pm, religious ceremonies including Harakeya Baayibeega Meravanige by devotees will be held. In the  evening, members of Babruvahana Kannada Yuvaka Sangha will stage Bhakta Prahlada play at Bayalu Rangamandira.

Former Mayor Rajeshwari K. Somu, Corporator Namrata Ramesh, The Mysore Co-operative Bank Vice-President Paduvarahalli M. Ramakrishna, Director J. Yogesh, City Co-operative Bank Director B. Shivu,  Director of Vokkaligara Sangha C. Mariswamy and A. Ravi will be felicitated.

MLA L. Nagendra, former MLA Vasu, Congress leader K. Harish Gowda and other dignitaries will be present. Due to COVID pandemic, devotees are requested to take all necessary precautionary measures.
