Mysuru: Renowned paediatrician Dr. U.G. Shenoy was honoured as the 105th achiever at the monthly ‘Sadhakarondige Samvada’ programme organised at Mysore Art Gallery in city recently.
Dr. Shenoy was felicitated and presented with a citation by Dr. S.P. Yoganna, Chairman of Suyog Hospital. The programme was presided over by L. Shivalingappa, Founder of Mysore Art Gallery. N.H. Jayaram, Col. (Dr.) V. Ramesh (Retd.), H.R. Ramesh and Ramesh Kini were among the special invitees.
On the occasion, Dr. Yoganna released ‘Tere Mareya Sadhakaru,’ a book authored by noted writer B.R. Nagarathna.
Addressing the gathering, he stressed the need for greater participation of youngsters in such programmes and urged organisers to create more opportunities for youth involvement.
Speaking during the interaction session, Dr. Shenoy observed that the close relationships that once existed between teachers & students and between doctors & patients, have changed considerably over the years.
Dr. Jamunarani V. Mirle, Secretary of Mysore Art Gallery, conducted the programme and moderated the interaction, while Srikantamurthy, Chief Coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.
