Pahilwan Afroz Khan was awarded the silver mace at traditional wrestling tournament organised at a part of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s 125th Birth Anniversary at Gandhinagar here yesterday.

Afroz Khan beat Pahilwan Nagaraju of Shivamogga. In the other matches, Pahilwan Shaeed Pasha of Bhootappana Garadi lost to Pahilwan Harshadeep, Pahilwan Krishna of Rammnahalli lost to Pahilwan Krishna and Pahilwan Mohd. Idayat of Iskayeen Garadi, Pahilwan Rizwan of Azinazir Garadi, Pahilwan Naveen of Bhootappana Garadi won their respective matches.  The other matches played in the tournament ended in a draw.

RSS Dakshin Pranthya Sanchalak M. Venkataram, Corporator B.N. Nataraj, Udaykumar, former Mayor Ayub Khan, Udaykumar, Ganesh, Shivanandaji and others were present.
