Pailwan (Chikka) Ranganna (76), a resident of Bestarakala Nagar here, passed away yesterday.
He had trained hundreds of Pailwans at Gopal Swamanna Garadi and a few of them had even excelled at National level. He leaves behind two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
