Pailwan Shivakumar alias Ayya (47), a resident of Kumbarakoppal in city, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Mangaluru following heart attack.

Shivakumar had gone to Dharmasthala along with his family where he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, where he breathed his last.

A national-level wrestler and a Kabbadi player, he leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Shivakumar was also the Hon. Secretary of Kumbarakoppal Abhyudaya Sangha.

Last rites were performed this noon at Kumbarakoppal Burial Grounds here, according to family sources.
