Part-time job online fraud: Woman cheated of Rs. 1.68 lakh

Mysore/Mysuru: Online fraudsters have cheated a woman of Rs. 1.68 lakh on the pretext of providing part time job to her.

The woman, who was cheated, is 28-year-old Y.R. Soundarya, a resident of Judges Quarters in Kuvempunagar.

Soundarya, who came across a part time job advertisement on ‘X’ (earlier Twitter), clicked on it and was told to contact Mobile No. 62587-48776 for details. When Soundarya contacted the above number, she was told to invest money and complete the tasks giver to her to earn more money. The fraudsters then got Rs. 1,68,360 transferred from her Bank account but did not give any tasks thus cheating her.

A case has been registered at City’s CEN Police Station.
