Veteran Freedom Fighter Venkatachalaiah hoisted the National Flag and called upon students to remember the martyrs, who had fought for the freedom. Later students took part in various cultural programmes, cycle parade and other events.
Maharshi Public School Principal T. Lakshmi, Committee Members Sriramu and Kedarnath, Senior Principal Gopalaswamy, College Principal Mahadevaswamy, High School Principal V. Girish, Primary School Head Mistress Vanishree, Nursery Head Mistress Usha Singh and others were present during the celebrations.
