PDO Association demands stay on ZP CEO transfer

Mysore/Mysuru: Claiming that Zilla Panchayat (ZP)  CEO Prashanth Kumar Mishra (now transferred) was unnecessarily dragged into the Nanjangud Taluk Health Officer Dr. Nagendra’s suicide case, Karnataka State Panchayat Development Officers (PDO) Welfare Association has urged the Government to stay the transfer order of the officer.

Association President M.D. Mayappa said that it is wrong to use abusive language against Prashanth Kumar Mishra, who has been honest in his work as Mysuru ZP CEO. Stating that the abusive and foul language being used against Mishra has upset hundreds of GP employees who are working under him, Mayappa said that it was unfair to blame Mishra alone.

Asserting that the Association was not opposed to taking action against all those responsible for the death of the doctor, Mayappa wanted the Government to put Prashanth Kumar Mishra’s transfer on hold at least until the probe report is submitted.

Association members this morning presented a memorandum to Mysuru Regional Commissioner J.C. Prakash at his office on Hunsur Road.
