Virajpet: A pedestrian was run over by a car near Mytadi in Virajpet taluk this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Ayyammanda B. Ravi (Rashma) of Mytadi in the taluk.
Ravi, a former Army Officer and a boxer, was on a morning jog on Virajpet-Mytadi Road at about 7 am, when he was fatally knocked down by a car.
Virajpet Police have registered a case in this regard.
