Book on Ayurveda Doyen Nambisan released
Mysuru: Dasappa Vichara Samsthe had organised a workshop on simple Ayurvedic treatments at Government Ayurveda Medical College in city recently which also featured release of the book ‘Doyen of Ayurveda P.T.K. Nambisan: Life, achievement and environment.’
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. V. Rajendra, Head of Kaya treatment, Government Ayurveda Medical College, said that ayurvedic medicine can cure many fatal diseases and hence has become popular among people. However, innovative allopathic medicines was a setback for ayurveda which has reversed the trend with people favouring ayurveda now. He opined that simple ayurvedic medicines could be prepared from herbs and straw and added that the book on Nambisan was a valuable guide for ayurveda dated back to Vedic times.
Renowned Ayurveda Doctor Jayaprakash Narayan released the book on Nambishan.
Dr. M.G.R. Urs released the book ‘Mangarasana aramaneya adugegalu.’ College Principal Dr. Gajanana Hegde presided. Dasappa Vichara Samsthe Trustee Saroja Dasappa was present.
