Petrol bunk owner returns 120 gms gold chain found on road

Hanagodu: A petrol bunk owner, who found 120 grams gold chain on the road, handed it over to the Police, thus displaying good Samaritan spirit.

The good Samaritan is Mylaralingeshwara Petrol Bunk (near APMC) owner and JD(S) leader Ganesh Kumaraswamy.

Incident: Home-maker Pratibha, a resident of JLB Road, was on her way to the Town Municipal office with her son on some work when the gold chain fell out of her purse on the road. She failed to notice it and after a long time when she returned home, she found the gold chain missing.

Meanwhile, Kumaraswamy, who was also on his way to the Town Municipal Office, found the gold chain lying on JLB Road. He immediately informed Head Constable Yogesh whom he knew. At the same time, Pratibha also reached the Town Police Station to file a complaint.

Inspector K.C. Poovaiah made inquiries and confirmed that the gold chain belonged to Pratibha.

Police felicitate: The Police invited Ganesh Kumaraswamy to the TP office and befittingly honoured him in the presence of MLA  A. H. Vishwanath for his laudable act. Later, Vishwanath handed over the gold chain to its owner Pratibha.

The much relieved Pratibha thanked Ganesh Kumaraswamy for his kind gesture.
