Mysore/Mysuru: The PGCET-2022, a two-day State-level Common Entrance Exam for admission to MBA, MCA, ME, M.Tech and M.Arch courses in Government /University/private aided/private unaided professional educational institutions in the State concluded today. The first day of the PGCET was held yesterday.
While the PGCET, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), for ME, M.Tech and M.Arch courses was held on the first day yesterday (Nov.19), the second day of the test was held today for admission to MBA/MCA courses. The PGCET was held at 8 centres spread across city, with a total of 2615 out of the 3121 registered candidates attending the exam.
The DCET-2022 exam, also conducted by the KEA, was held today at 4 centres in city, in which 1789 out of the 1891 registered candidates attended the exam.
The DCET (Karnataka Diploma common entrance test) is a State-level lateral entrance exam for Engineering and Architecture courses. It is for admission to first year Architecture course and second year/third semester Engineering courses under Lateral Entry Scheme for Day Colleges to Engineering Diploma holders.
The police had clamped prohibitory orders in 200 mt. radius around all the exam centres from 6 am till 6 pm for ensuring smooth conduct of the exams. Also, all photocopy shops in the vicinity of the centres were asked to shut down for the day.
