PGTI Bengal Open 2019 Golf Tourney: Delhi’s Honey Baisoya leads, Mysuru’s Yashas fares well

Delhi’s Honey Baisoya impressed with a card of six-under- 64 to emerge halfway leader at Bengal Open Golf Championship 2019, Presented By West Bengal Tourism & Powered By Tollygunge Club, on Wednesday.

Rashid Khan’s 64 lifts him to tied second; Himmat Rai, Trishul Chinnappa, N. Thangaraja produce day’s best card of 63.

Mysuru lad M.S. Yashas Chandra came up with a card of 2-under-68 to have an aggregate two-day score of five-under-135 (67+68) and is placed 26th in the rankings.

It was a crowded leader-board as there was a four-way tie for the second spot at 11-under-129 between Delhi’s Rashid Khan (64), Bangladesh’s Badal Hossain (66), Chandigarh’s Karandeep Kochhar (66) and Faridabad-based Karan Pratap            Singh (67).

The day’s best round of 63 was posted by Delhi’s Himmat Rai, Bengaluru’s Trishul Chinnappa and Sri Lankan N. Thangaraja.

While Himmat occupied tied sixth place at 10-under-130, Trishul was tied ninth at nine-under-131 and Thangaraja was tied 20th at six-under-134. The cut went at two-under-138 and 51 professionals                                         made the cut.
