The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in English to Mary D’ Souza for her thesis ‘Postcolonial native and diasporic subaltern-consciousness in the select short stories of Mahasweta Devi and Jhumpa Lahiri.’ She worked under the guidance of Dr. L. Devika Rani.
