Ph.D awardees

Mysuru/Mysore:  The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Botany to G.L. Basavaraj for his thesis ‘Biotic and Abiotic Medicated Induction of Resistance against Blast Disease Pathogen-Maganaporthe Grisea in Pearl Millet’ submitted under the guidance of  Dr. K.N. Amruthesh.

K. Paramesha has been awarded Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering by the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagaavi,for his thesis ‘Sentiment Analysis of Textual Information using Hybrid Approaches.’ He worked under the guidance of Dr. K.C. Ravishankar.

K. Gopala Reddy has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical Engineering by the VTU for his thesis ‘Development of Intelligent Techniques for Optimal Distributed Generation Planning for Power Quality Improvement in Distribution Network’ [Guide: Dr. T. Ananthapadmanabha].

D.C. Vinutha has been awarded Ph.D in Computer and Information Sciences by the VTU for her thesis ‘An Optimized Resource Scheduler for Big Data Systems’ [Guide: Dr. G.T. Raju].

A. Geethashree has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Sciences by the VTU for her thesis ‘Design of algorithm for Emotion Transformation in Kannada Language’ [Guide: Dr. D. J. Ravi].

M. Natesh has been awarded Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering by the VTU for his thesis  ‘New methodology to find a free space for a blind person using view metrology principles’ [Guide: Dr. S. Murali].

J.P. Rishi has been awarded Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering by the VTU for his thesis ‘An Explanatory Study on Implementation of Lean Manufacturing Practices in Small and Medium Enterprises’ [Guide: Dr. T.R. Srinivas].

H.L. Gururaj has been awarded Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering by the VTU for his thesis ‘QoS aware TCP Congestion control variants for processing multimedia data in Mobile Adhoc Networks’ [Guide: Dr. B. Ramesh].

C. Lokesh has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical Engineering by the VTU for his thesis ‘Implementation of high speed OFDM for wideband digital communication and channel estimation for the efficient OFDM transmission’ [Guide: Dr. K.R. Rekha].   

N. Sheela has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Sciences by the VTU for her thesis ‘Retinal Image Processing for Early Detection of Ocular and Vascular Diseases’ [Guide: Dr. L. Basavaraj].

S. Shashidhar Bharadwaj has been awarded Ph.D in Chemistry by Mangalore University for his thesis ‘Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Some Simple and Fused Five Membered Heterocycles’ [Guide: Prof. Boja Poojary].

M.K. Prathibha has been awarded Ph.D in Electronics and Communication Engineering by ATME College of Engineering, Mysuru for her thesis ‘Techniques for implementation of Online Handwritten Signature Verification System’ [Guide: Dr. L. Basavaraj].

R. Sandeep has been awarded Ph.D in Electronics and Electrical Engineering by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, for his thesis ‘Projection-based Perceptual Video Hashing’ [Guide: Dr. Prabin K. Bora].

S. Sumathi has been awarded Ph.D in Education by Karnatak University, Dharwad for her thesis ‘A Study of Attitude of B.Ed, Trainees towards Gender Discrimination, Gender  Sensitivity, Gender Stereotypes and Women Empowerment in Mysore City.’ [Guide: Dr. Shataj Begum].
