Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in History to T. Nagaveni for her thesis ‘Lambadies in Ceded Bellary District from 1800 to 1948: A Study’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. R. Rajanna.

H.B. Uma has been awarded Ph.D in Chemistry by UoM for her thesis ‘Synthesis of Nanomaterials: Its Application in Photo-degradation of Organic Compounds and Preparation of Nanocomposites of Polymer Films’ [Guide: Dr. S. Ananda].

C.M. Rekhamani has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by UoM for her thesis ‘Shasanagala Hinneleyalli Beluru: Samskritika Adhyayana’ [Guide: Dr. M.G. Manjunatha].

VTU, Belagavi

Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has awarded Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Engineering to H. Sheila for her thesis ‘Enhancement of Power Quality in Distribution Grid Connected to DG Using FACTS Controllers’ [Guide: Dr. Shobha Shankar].

K.B. Kaveri has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by VTU for her thesis ‘Effective Management of Solar and Wind Distributed Generation with Grid Using Smart Switching’ [Guide:   Dr. Shobha Shankar].

N. Gowtham has been awarded Ph.D in Electrical and Electronics Engineering by VTU for his thesis ‘Enhancement of Power Quality with UPQC Using Different Optimisation Techniques’ [Guide: Dr. Shobha Shankar].
