Mysuru: The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has awarded Ph.D in Management to B.R. Shyam for his thesis ‘Motivating Sales Staff – A Case Study on Selected Organised Retail Formats in Tier-1, Tier-2 and Tier-3 Cities in Karnataka’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. N.K. Ramachandra Gowda.

M. Santhosh too has been awarded Ph.D in Management by the VTU for his thesis ‘Analytical Studies on the Effect of Sales Promotion Variables on Size and Composition of Retail Shopping Basket with Reference to Retail Outlets of Bangalore City Using Quantitative Techniques’ [Guide: Dr. P. Nagesh].

The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Ancient History and Archaeology to K. Kendamma for her thesis ‘Haranahalli Devalayagala Kale Mattu Vastushilpa — Ondu Samaghra Adhayana’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. G. Kariyappa.

Sunanda Gurappa Bhoopali has been awarded Ph.D in Sanskrit by the UoM for her thesis ‘Basavanna Mattu Allammaprabhu Vachanagala Mele Samskruta Sahityada Prabhava’ [Guide: Dr. S. Shivarajappa].

The UoM has awarded Ph.D in Sericulture Science for M. Raju for his thesis ‘Yield Gap and Constraints in Cocoon Production under Rainfed and Irrigated Conditions of Chamarajanagar District (Karnataka State)’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. B. Sannappa.
