Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D in Social Work to S. Kavitha for her thesis titled “A Comparative Study on Psycho-Social Problems and Socio-Cultural Issues of Institutionalised and Non-Institutionalised Elders” submitted under the guidance of Dr. Kumudini Achchi.

K.M. Girisha has been awarded Ph.D in Jainology and Prakrits by the UoM for his thesis “Hoysalara Kalada Jaina Sahitya: Ondu Adhyayana” [Guide: Dr. P. Padmavathi].

Morteza Ansari has been awarded Ph.D in Management by the UoM for his thesis “An Evaluation of Financial Performance of select Oil and Gas Companies in India” Guide: Dr. M. Shivalinge Gowda].

Asmaalsadat Mousavinia has been awarded Ph.D in Commerce by the UoM for her thesis “A Study of Value Relevance of Financial Statements in the Domestic Listed Commercial Banks in India” [Guide: Dr. S. Marigowda].

Kalashree has been awarded Ph.D in Commerce by the UoM for her thesis “Corporate Governance Practices of Pharmaceutical Industry in India” [Guide: Dr. H. Rajashekar].

S. Vinod Kumar has been awarded Ph.D in Economics by the UoM for his thesis “Impact of WTO on Agriculture Sector in Karnataka” [Guide: Dr. N.K. Gayathri].

Asha Barath has been awarded Ph.D in City and Regional Planning by the UoM for her thesis “Planning for Sustainable High Density Housing – A Study to Explore possibilities for Protecting Urban Environment of Mysore” [Guide: Dr. H.N. Nagendra].

M. Sujatha has been awarded Ph.D in Social Work by the  UoM for her thesis “A Study on Psycho-Social Condition of the Parents of Sex Trafficked Female Victims” [Guide: Dr. Kumudini Achchi].

Sumithra has been awarded Ph.D in History by the UoM for her thesis “Malavalli Talukina Ondu Charitrika Adhyayana (10th Century AD to 16th Century AD)” [Guide: Dr. H.A. Gangamma].

Prakash Arulappa has been awarded Ph.D in history by the UoM for his thesis “Peasant Movement in Modern Karnataka (1947-1990)” [Guide: Dr. P. Puttaiah].

B. Manohara has been awarded Ph.D in Environmental Science by the UoM for his thesis “Physico-Chemical and Spectroscopic Characterisation of Municipal Solid Waste Composting Process.” [Guide: Dr. S.L. Belagali].

C. Anjanappa has been awarded Ph.D in Electronics by the UoM for his thesis “Development and Performance Evaluation of De-noising Algorithms for Medical Image Analysis” [Guide: Dr. H.S. Sheshadri].

PRIST University, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, has awarded Ph.D in Computer Science to D.M. Mahesha for his thesis “Classification and Retrieval of Trilingual Scripts” submitted under the guidance of Dr. N.P. Gopalan (National Institute of Technology), Trichy. Mahesh is serving as HoD and Assistant Professor at Computer Science Department in KSOU, Mysuru.
