Mysore/Mysuru: Due to COVID-19, University of Mysore (UoM) has issued an order extending the last date to apply for Ph.D Entrance Exam till Aug. 31. This is the fourth time that the last date to apply for Ph.D has been extended so far.

Earlier, due to lockdown, the period to apply for the entrance exam which was scheduled from Feb. 18 to Mar. 16, was postponed to Mar. 17 to July 5. Second time, the date was extended till July 25 and third time, it was extended till July 30. As the number of positive cases is increasing by the day, the Govt. has not given permission to conduct the exam and hence, an order has been issued extending the last date to Aug. 31.

Over 5,000 students: Already 5,097 students have applied for Ph.D in 70 subjects and due to COVID-19, applications are being accepted without any late fee, said University Registrar (Evaluation) Dr. K.M. Mahadevan.
