Mysuru: A Primary Health Centre (PHC) was inaugurated by Principal District and Sessions Judge S.K. Vontigodi at District Law Court premises this morning. 

Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar, Senior Civil Judge B.P. Devamane, District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. R. Venkatesh, Mysore Bar Association President S. Anand Kumar and other office-bearers were  present.

After inaugurating the PHC, Vontigodi said: “Deputy Commissioner was pressing for the need of a PHC at the Court premises. All those who visit the Court including Court employees, lawyers and clients will benefit    from this facility.”

Speaking on the occasion, DC Abhiram Sankar said: “High Court had earlier advised to set up PHC at Court premises. Depending on the needs, we will upgrade the Health Centre in the future.”

DHO Dr. R. Venkatesh said: “This Health Centre will have two doctors and a nurse with an assistant who will be working on working days of the Court.”
