Physical Fitness test for recruitment of Excise Guards begins

Mysuru: The 4-day physical fitness test for recruitment of Excise guards began at the CAR ground behind Race Course in the city this morning.

The Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) which had conducted the written test had sent the list of qualified candidates to the District Recruitment Committee, following which call letters were issued to 345 candidates, including 15 women, to appear for the Physical Fitness Test.

The test, which features 100 mts sprint & 800mt run and field events like shot put, high jump, long jump etc. will be conducted 86 candidates each day. The Recruitment Committee is headed by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) with Excise DC as Member Secretary and Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports Assistant Director Suresh as member.

Excise DC Roopa, Excise Deputy Superintendent Thammanna and other officials were present. The test will conclude on Jan.6.
