Pillion rider killed as goods vehicle hits

Mysore/Mysuru: A pillion rider was killed when a mini goods vehicle hit the bike he was riding near Rotary School at Dattagalli 3rd Stage in city.

The deceased has been identified as Jayarama (46), a resident of Channapatna village in Nanjangud taluk.

Jayarama was riding pillion with his son J. Yashwanth riding the Hero Honda Splendor bike (KA-09-JR-5267) from Dattagalli 3rd Stage towards the Ring Road when the mini goods vehicle (KA-09-D-2039) hit the bike from behind.

Jayarama, who sustained serious injuries, was being shifted to a hospital but he succumbed to injuries midway.

KR Traffic Police have registered a case.
