Mysuru – About 50 contract employees of PKTB Sanatorium on KRS Road here staged a protest in front of the Sanatorium this morning demanding basic facilitates.
The contract employees serving in house-keeping, security, laundry and garden alleged that they were not being provided with safety aids, uniforms and statutory benefits like ESI and PF by the assigned contractor.
Dr. B. Krishnmurthy, Dean and Director, MMC&RI, who also heads PKTB Sanatorium, arrived at the spot and pacified the agitating contract employees.
He assured them that he would discuss the issue with the assigned contractor and resolve the problem by this Saturday.
The contract employees withdraw their stir later. Adi Dravida Horata Samiti General Secretary R.R. Ramesh and Vice-President Murugesh led the protest.
