Plastic godown raided: Eleven tonnes of banned plastic bags seized

Mysuru:  The officials of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) and Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), who conducted a surprise raid on a plastic godown at Santhepet here yesterday, have seized the banned plastic covers weighing about 11 tonnes from the godown.

The godown belongs to one Rajaram and is located at Kousalya Complex in Santhepet.

A case has been registered by KSPCB in this regard.

The raid was led by MCC Commissioner G. Jagadeesha and the team comprised of KSPCB Environmental Officer Lingaraju, MCC Environmental Engineer S. Mythri, MCC Senior Health Officer Dr. Ramachandra, Health Officer Dr. Nagaraj and others.
