Plea to rename KSRTC’s fleet of Flybus brand

Sir,

KSRTC began its airport shuttle services from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport to Mysuru, Manipal and Madikeri in 2014. The inter-city shuttles from Bengaluru airport to various destinations have immensely benefited many overnight travellers to reach in the early morning.

KSRTC has also branded its airport shuttle buses as ‘Flybus’ services and is highly appealing to its passengers. However, it should be noted that Flybus as a brand name already exists for the airport shuttle services currently operating in Iceland between Keflavík International Airport (KEF) and Reykjavík City Centre (BSÍ) Bus Terminal. Hence, it is imperative to create a distinct brand identity to Karnataka’s pride of KSRTC airport shuttles. As Flybus brand name already exists, an innovative global branding exercise for  KSRTC’s airport shuttles is highly essential.

It is thus requested to rename KSRTC’s current fleet of Flybus brand and thereby propose an innovative and unique brand identity to the airport shuttle services. The suggestion will only help ensure to create a distinct global brand identity for KSRTC’s inter-city Airport shuttle services operated from Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport.
