Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru Hotel Owners Association President C. Narayanagowda has objected the hike in the Mysuru Zoo entrance ticket price.
Pointing out that the revenue obtained from entrance tickets was already sufficient to take care of the expenses, Narayanagowda said that it is not right to hike the entrance fee suddenly.
He said that before increasing the price of the entrance ticket, the Zoo authorities should have released the income and expenditure statement.
Stating that the State Government must encourage for the growth of tourism, Narayanagowda said that it is not at all right to increase the ticket price to get more revenue.
“The entrance fee of Mysore Palace and KRS has been increased eight months back and has been fetching good revenue since then. Hence, the Zoo Authority of Karnataka (ZAK) should immediately roll back the hike in Zoo entrance tickets,” he added.
