Plea to vaccinate bed-ridden people

May 16, 2021

Sir,

There are many elderly bed- ridden people in Mysuru for whom the logistics of transportation and risk have been a deterrent to their vaccination.

The rapidly emerging mutant variants of covid means that vaccinated family members and caretakers might still get infection and pass it on to these very vulnerable people in their care, while thankfully escaping severe illness themselves.

Can the vaccination authorities get a member of the mobile vaccination teams to do house visits in the suburbs they are visiting if expression of interest from families is made?
