PM Modi to launch Iconic Week under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ tomorrow

The event will be webcast at ATI campus in Mysuru

Mysore/Mysuru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Iconic Week under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ tomorrow (June 6) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi at 10.30 am.

This event will be telecast across 75 major cities of India including Mysuru. The webcast of the event is scheduled at 10.30 am at Hemavathi auditorium in Administrative Training Institute (ATI) campus, Lalitha Mahal Road, Mysuru.

During this programme, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs will be showcasing various governance reforms fructified under both the Ministries encompassing evolution of financial sector and economic development of the country.

The PM will also be inaugurating the digital exhibition outlining the stellar work of the Ministry of Finance over the years and launch special edition of 5 coins in various denominations with the AKAM (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) logo embossed on them.

The Prime Minister will also launch Jan-Samarth portal — a single unified National Portal which will provide ease and convenience to all beneficiaries of credit linked Government schemes. Through this portal, the beneficiaries can now log on and review all criteria for eligibility   and apply online.

Financial inclusion is emphasised during the event as it is indeed the flow of money on the basis of which the people prosper. All the efforts of the PM have been in the direction of rapid and wholesome progress of the nation. Under this theme, a short film titled ‘Money Flows, Nation Grows’ will be shown.

Various other programmes will be held by various Departments of Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs across India like Central Board of Direct Taxes, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Department of Financial Services, Controller General of Accounts, Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management etc. from June 6 to 11.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable PM Narendra Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on March 12, 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on August 15, 2023.
