Police Mahasangha to launch ‘Rakshaka Sena’ party soon

Mysuru: To take on the Congress in the ensuing Assembly elections, Akhila Karnataka Police Mahasangha (AKPM) is all set to launch a new revolutionary political party ‘Rakshaka Sena.’

Disclosing this at a press meet organised by Samagra Karnataka Rakshana Vedike at Pathrakartara Bhavan here recently, AKPM President V. Shashidar, a retired Police personnel, said that the entire Police personnel were in support of the party to bring down the Siddharamaiah-led Congress Government which was anti-Police community.

Regretting that the Police were demoralised by frequent undue interference of Siddharamaiah in Police matters, he  said that Cops were being assaulted by MLAs.

He pointed out that anomalies in salaries of Police personnel was yet to be rectified. Stating that the Election Commission of India (ECI) had recognised the new party, Shashidar said that about 75,000 people had enrolled for the new party and added that about 50 lakh pamphlets about the party would be distributed soon across the State.

Vedike President Arvind Sharma and office-bearers were present at the press meet.
