Police Martyr’s Day observed in city along with Martyrs’ kin

Mysuru: The city and District Police Observed Police Martyr’s Day at a programme held this morning at Police Martyr’s Memorial Park near SP’s office in Nazarbad here.

Air Commodore Sunil Jose of Indian Air Force was the Chief Guest. IGP (Southern Region) Vipul Kumar, City Police Commissioner Dr.A.S. Rao, Superintendent  of Police Ravi D. Channannavar, Additional SP N. Rudramuni DCPs Dr. Vikram V. Amathe, N.Vishnavardhan, ACB SP Dr. H.T.Shekar and others were present.

CAR ASI K.N. Suresh led the Police Parade. Volley firing was also done. A two-minute silence was observed to pay respects to police Martyrs.

Senior Police officers placed wreaths at the memorial. For the first time, family members of three deceased Police personnel of City also placed wreaths at the memorial.

Speaking on the occasion Air Commodore Sunil Jose opined that Police personnel should have ample patience to face challenges and stress in career. He advised them to maintain good health to beat the stress of their jobs.
