Police take out Route March in city

Mysuru: With the LS polls just three days away, the City Police, in a bid to instil confidence among the people, took out a Route March in sensitive areas coming under Devaraja Sub-Division limits this morning.

The March commenced at 8 am from D. Banumaiah Polytechnic in Udayagiri and passed through M.G. Road, Udayagiri Circle, Post Office Road, PF Office Road, Manasa School Road and other areas before culminating at K.M. Halli Circle, covering a distance of 2 kms.

Thereafter, the March continued from K.M. Halli Circle and passed through M.G. Road, Sultan Road, Mahadevapura Road, Beedi Colony Main Road, Government Higher Primary School at Kalyanagiri and other areas before culminating at Triveni Circle, covering a distance of 2 kms.

Later in the evening today, the Police will take out Route March in Narasimharaja Sub-Division limits.

Tomorrow (Apr.16), the Route March will be taken out in Devaraja Sub-Division limits from 8 am to 10 am and in Krishnaraja Sub-Division limits from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Civil Police, Commando Force, CAR, KSRP, Central Armed Forces and other Police wings took part in the Route March under the guidance of City Police Commissioner K.T. Balakrishna and DCP M. Muthuraj.
