Police take out Traffic Safety Jatha in city

Mysuru: In a bid to create awareness on traffic safety, the officers and staff of N.R. Traffic Police Station and Mandi Police Station took out a Traffic Safety Jatha in N.R. Traffic Police Station limits here yesterday. The Jatha, comprising Police Officers, Garuda and Tiger vehicles, was taken out on Sawday Road to Mission Hospital Circle and from Mission Hospital Circle to Government Ayurveda Hospital Circle.

During the Jatha, the Cops explained to the public about odd and even numbers parking besides clearing footpath encroachments by shopkeepers.

The Police instructed Auto Consultants to remove the vehicles parked on footpaths and warned them of taking legal action if they failed to do so.

The Jatha was led by N.R. Traffic Inspector Jayakumar and staff under the supervision of Traffic ACP K.N. Madaiah and on instructions from DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe.
