Poll code must not be violated: Observer

Mysore/Mysuru: Dilraj Singh, Election Observer of Chamundeshwari Assembly Constituency, has issued instructions to the Officers to ensure compliance of Model Code of Conduct without any violations and maintenance of election expenditures, in a systematic manner.

Dilraj Singh shared the details related to process of election and expenditures, during a meeting presided over by Returning Officer of the Constituency Kamalabai and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) B.N. Girish in the city recently. “Total 14 candidates are in the fray at Chamundeshwari Constituency and the officers should have the knowledge of expenses related to pamphlets of the candidates. Three registers issued to candidates should also be maintained in a systematic way,” said Dilraj Singh.

Postal ballot is allowed this time, as those voters aged above 80 years can exercise their franchise from the comfort of their homes itself. If the parties and candidates bring voters in vehicles to the Polling Stations, such vehicles should be seized, said Dilraj Singh.

Election Officers, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and officers from various departments were present on the occasion.
