Mandya: An FIR has been lodged against MP C.S. Puttaraju, who is the JD(S) candidate from Melukote Assembly segment at Pandavapura Police Station for allegedly violating the Model Poll Code of Conduct.
Puttaraju is accused of violating the Poll Code of Conduct by campaigning at a place of worship on Apr. 13 and a notice was served to Puttaraju in this regard.
According to Election Officer H.P. Kumar, campaigning at a place of worship is a violation of the poll code.
As the MP failed to give a convincing reply to the notice, Poll Officer Rajendra lodged a complaint at Pandavapura Police Station.
