Mysuru: The Melukote Temple Rakshana Samiti has demanded action against Melukote Yoganarasimhaswamy Temple Priest Narayana Bhat who was reportedly caught watching porn in the Temple’s sanctum sanctorum by devotee recently.
Addressing a press meet here yesterday, Samiti Hon. President R. Girijesh alleged that Priest Narayana Bhat was caught watching porn on his mobile on Dec.11, 2017 in the Temple.
Following a complaint, the Melukote Police, based on a direction from Pandavapura Court, have registered an FIR against the Priest. But the Police have not initiated action against the Priest.
The Police inaction has proved a big embarrassment for the Temple devotees, Girijesh said and demanded the intervention of Endowment Minister in this regard.
He also urged to dismiss Narayana Bhat and appoint a new Priest in his place.
