June 19, 2023

The bag had registered posts, speed posts to be sent to Yalandur Post Office

Mysore/Mysuru: A bag belonging to the Postal Department, which had registered and speed posts, has been stolen at Suburban Bus Stand in the early hours of June 14.

Parcels meant for Post Offices in Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts were sent from Railway Mail Services Office located on Seshadri Iyer Road to the Transit Mail Office (TMO) at KSRTC Suburban Bus Stand.

On June 14 at about 5 am, TMO staff Muddegowda, Neetu Patil and Lokesh, had taken the transit bag of Yalandur Post Office to be put in a bus.

As the Yalandur bus had not come, the staff left the transit bag on Platform No. 10 and took another transit bag and put it in the Kollegal bus.

When they reached Platform No. 10, they found the transit bag of Yalandur Post Office missing.

Lashkar Police, who have registered a case in this regard,  are investigating.
