Powerlifters excel

The following powerlifters from Mysuru have bagged medals in the Indian National Powerlifting, Bench Press and Deadlift Championships (RAW) 2022-2023 conducted by National Powerlifters Federation (India) at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh under the aegis of Powerlifters Association, Andhra Pradesh.

M.D. Sreenivasa Prasad (62 years – M-3 Category) – Gold medal in Bench Press (82.5-kg), silver medal in Deadlift (115-kg) and bronze medal in Powerlifting (297.5-kg).

P.N. Ganesh Prasad (49 years – M-1 Category)- Bronze medal in Bench Press (80-kg).

Team Karnataka won more than 50 medals in the event.
