Prajwal Revanna to contest 2018 Assembly polls

Bengaluru: Prajwal Revanna, son of former Minister and Senior JD(S) leader H.D. Revanna, is likely to contest the 2018 Assembly Polls. Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Prajwal’s mother Bhavani Revanna said that Prajwal may contest from Rajarajeshwarinagar seat in Bengaluru.

Maintaining that she was making this statement after JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda has given his nod, Bhavani said that it was however left to the discretion of the party top brass on giving the party ticket to her son.

Clarifying that she would not contest the polls, Bhavani reiterated that Prajwal will contest the polls.

Meanwhile, former CM and State JD(S) President H.D. Kumaraswamy has said that he has no idea of Prajwal contesting the polls. Expressing disappointment over Bhavani Revanna’s statement, Kumaraswamy said that he does not know whether his father and JD(S) Supremo has given his nod for the contest of Prajwal Revanna.
