Pratap Simha inaugurates Veerashaiva Basava Balaga Unit in R.S. Naidu Nagar

MP Pratap Simha, who inaugurated the newly-formed Veerashaiva Basava Balaga of R.S. Naidu Nagar at a programme held in R.S. Naidu Nagar on Sunday, is seen with Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and others.

The newly-formed Veerashaiva Basava Balaga of R.S. Naidu Nagar was inaugurated by MP Pratap Simha at a programme held at the ground near Nagalingeshwara Temple in R.S. Naidu Nagar here on Sunday by unveiling a portrait of Basavanna.

Speaking on the occasion, Pratap Simha recalled that the first systematic trial implementation of democracy was launched in 12th Century under the leadership of Basavanna.

He added that an ‘Anubhava Mantap’ was established then to hold discussions for social equality and launching Movements along with composing Vachanas.

Gracing the occasion, Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji said that Basavanna launched Social Movements without flouting any principles laid down in religious scriptures.

Basava Balaga Okkuta President T.S. Lokesh, Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman, Corporator Haseena Taj Saleem, Office-bearers of Veerashaiva organisations and others were present during the programme.
