Mysore/Mysuru: Kanakashree Charitable Trust, Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru, has invited applications from meritorious children of Kuruba community (Halumatha, Kadukuruba and Jenukuruba) who have scored more than 95 percent marks in SSLC (2025-26) and 90 percent marks in PUC (2025-26) for presentation of Pratibha Puraskar.
Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city on Thursday, Trust President T.B. Balagavi said, Kuruba community students who studied in Mysuru Revenue Division districts of Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Chikkamagalur, only can apply.
The selected meritorious students will be presented Pratibha Puraskar at a programme to be held at Kanaka Samudaya Bhavan in Mysuru on June 14, Balagavi said adding that all meritorious students will be given a cash of Rs. 5,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
The eligible candidates can send their application forms, along with all required documents to T.B. Balagavi, President, Kanakashree Charitable Trust, C/o Kanakashree Housing Co-operative Society, No. 20/31, 6th Main Road, 80 Ft. Road, KHB Colony, Basaveshwaranagar 1st Stage, Bengaluru-79, before June 8.

Hostel facility
Kanakashree Charitable Trust has also invited applications from students belonging to backward classes including Kuruba community, for its Kanakashree Students Hostel at Vishweshwaraiah Layout in Bengaluru.
The students pursuing various courses in Bengaluru — Post Graduation, Engineering, Medical, Law and other professional courses and preparing for competitive examinations — can submit applications.
Along with accommodation, separate Study Centre facility will be provided. Food will be given at a concessional rate. Interview of eligible students will be conducted in Bengaluru. Last date to apply is June 30.
