DDPUE and retired Principals felicitated

Mysuru: Karnataka State PU College Principals’ Association, Mysuru District Wing, had organised a programme yesterday at Vivekananda auditorium in the premises of Mahajana PU College, Jayalakshmipuram, to present Pratibha Puraskar to meritorious PU students and felicitate retired Principals and DDPUE.

Speaking as the chief guest, Additional DC G. Anuradha said that the Principals have retired after a long service to the educational sector.

She asked students to go by their teacher’s guidance to shape a good career with determined goal. She also thanked the teachers in general for extending good help during the LS elections.

Six retired Principals of PU Colleges — Mangala Gowramma, Umamaheshwari, Umme Salma, Satish, Jagadish and Krishna Nayak — were felicitated.

DDPUE Dr. Dayananda, who is going to retire on May 31, was also felicitated along with his wife.

Twenty-five students, who have scored high marks in 2nd PU examination, were presented Pratibha Puraskar.

Mahajana Education Society Secretary Dr. Vijayalakshmi Muralidhar inaugurated the programme. Association President S.M. Tulasidas presided. Vice-Presidents Dr. Nagaratna and B. Mahadeva, Secretary Somashekhar, Lakshmipuram Govt. PU College Principal Rathna and Mahajana PU College Professor S. Umarani were present.
