Pratibha Puraskar presented to meritorious students

The achievers, who were felicitated by Vijayanagar Vokkaligara Vedike in city on Saturday, are seen with  Ministers C.S. Puttaraju, S.R. Mahesh and G.T. Devegowda, former UoM VC Prof. K.S. Rangappa, former MLA Vasu, Arpitha Simha and others.

Mysuru:  “The Government is united and will continue to serve the people,” asserted G.T. Devegowda, Minister for Higher Education.

He was speaking after inaugurating a function organised by Vijayanagar Vokkaligara Vedike in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage here on Saturday to mark Kempegowda Jayanti, felicitation to dignitaries and Pratibha Puraskar. He said that he was aware of the drinking water problems in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage and added that remedial measures were underway.

Speaking on the occasion, former MLA Vasu observed that Cauvery river had become a lifeline for Karnataka and also Tamil Nadu. He hence opined that Cauvery Catchment Area needs due recognition and importance in development.

Ministers G.T. Devegowda, C.S. Puttaraju and S.R. Mahesh and MLC Marithibbegowda were felicitated on the occasion.

Pratibha Puraskar were presented to students who had excelled in SSLC and PUC exams.

Former UoM VC Prof. K.S. Rangappa, Vedike President K. Kalingu, Arpitha Simha and others were present.
